Mrs. Robinson-Gray was one of the most inspiring teachers that I ever had in all my years of education. She inspired high school students to be prepared for college and for our futures. She challenged young people to be active in the system. She treated each of us with dignity and respect as young adults expecting the young adults to act as adults. Always referring to her students as “Mr. or Ms.” and encouraging debate on any subject even if she didn’t agree, always allowing your point to be presented. After leaving school when she greeted you in the community she always inquired how your life had changed or grown and continued to challenge you to reach even higher. Betty Robinson-Grey is truly a great lady that this community will never be able to replace, we as a community now have a huge void that I know she would encourage us to fill, yet no one could ever fill the footprints and pathways that she set for us all. My prayers are for Betty, her family, her many friends and the greater community as a whole that she shepherded leading us and nurturing us over the many years of her education career. She will always be loved and now greatly missed.
