Austin is the third generation of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, son of Bruce and Kim. Austin was born and raised in Joplin. He is a 2000 graduate of Joplin High School where he participated in football. Austin attended and played football at Missouri Southern State University, graduating in 2005 with a B.S. Degree. He then attended Dallas Institute of Funeral Service graduating in 2006. He currently is on the board of the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association as the District 9 Director. He lives in Joplin with his wife, Megan.

Megan grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas and attended St. Mary’s Colgan Catholic Schools, she chose to further her education at Pittsburg State University and Graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She worked for over 10 years in the Jewelry Industry as a jewelry salesperson and appraiser before she joined the team at Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Megan is the training to oversee our Pre-Arrangement Funeral Services. She is an Alumna of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, and a member of Soroptimist International of Joplin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, watching sports (especially the Kansas City Chiefs), and taking road trips with her husband, Austin.

Bruce is a second generation Funeral Director and Embalmer. He and his wife Kim are the owners of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. He began working at the Funeral Home at the age of 15, he knew at a very young age that this would be his chosen profession. He is a dedicated member of this community. Bruce is a 1978 graduate of Joplin’s Parkwood High School. He attended MSSU and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1981. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Bruce is a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Joplin, and a Captain on the Duenweg Volunteer Fire Department. He has three children, Austin Woodard and wife Megan, Ashlee Woodard Schiller and husband Kevin, and Alex Woodard and wife Hannah. And seven grandchildren.

Kim is a native of Joplin, and along with her husband Bruce is an owner of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. She is a 1978 graduate of Joplin’s Parkwood High School and attended MSSC. She is a licensed funeral director and has worked at the funeral home since 1993. Kim has always been a children’s advocate. She was active in Little League Baseball and Softball. She served on the Joplin R-8 School Board from 1999 to 2005, and currently serves on the Joplin Schools Foundation Board. She has been a longtime sponsor of newspapers for kids and many other local youth programs.  Kim is a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board of Director’s and the Chamber’s Foundation Board of Director’s. She is also a long time member of the Soroptimist Club of Joplin, serving on many of their service committees.  Kim is also active with the local Surviving Spouse Group which is sponsored by the funeral home. She has three children, Austin Woodard and wife Megan, Ashlee Woodard Schiller and husband Kevin, and Alex Woodard and wife Hannah. And seven grandchildren.

Dan is one of the funeral directors at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. He is a 1980 graduate of Webb City High School. He attended Missouri Southern State College Law Enforcement Academy. He graduated with honors from Arapahoe College with a degree in Mortuary Science. He was instrumental in starting the Shop with a Cop program at the Webb City Police Department. He is a member of AF & AM and OES and is a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Webb City.

Dan is married to Heidy and they have two children and three grandchildren.

Randy is one of the funeral directors of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. He is a 1967 graduate of Joplin Senior High School. He attended Ozark Bible College and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sacred Literature. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1972. He is a Past President  of the Webb City Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Webb City-Carl Junction Rotary Club, and Past President of the Ozark Christian College Alumni Assoc. He has served on the Tri-County Cerebral Palsy  Board of Directors. He attends College Heights Christian Church. Randy is married to Carrie Wilson and they have three children, daughters, Julie Woods and husband Justin, Courtney Hill and husband Ryan, and son, Ryan Gibson.

Bailey a lifetime resident of Joplin, Mo, she is a 2005 graduate of McAuley Catholic High School and attended MSSU for EMT.  She started with Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory in 2011 working in Pre-Arrangements before taking the office manager position in 2012. She is also a Motorcycle Safety Instructor for the State of Missouri and enjoys riding her motorcycle on the weekends.

Joe was born and raised in Carthage, MO. He is a graduate of Carthage Senior High School and a graduate of Missouri State University, receiving his Bachelors in Criminal Justice. He then went on and attended the Police Academy, graduating in 2002.  He worked for St. John’s Hospital in the Security Department for 9 years. After the May 2011 tornado, he was hired by Freeman Hospital in the Security Department for 7 years. He has been married 7 years to his wife, Michelle. Joe and Michelle have 2 kids Logan and Nora. Joe is an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage.

Pam has been a part of the staff since January of 1994. She is a licensed Funeral Director and is the manager of our Pre-Arranged Funeral Services. She is a certified Grief Recovery Specialist for our Funeral Home's and volunteers her time to facilitate The Grief Recovery Method Support Group for our community throughout the yea. She also offers  Individual Grief Counseling. Pam worked as an Independant Insurance Agent for 18 years in the Joplin area and currently holds a Missouri Life, Health and Property & Casualty Insurance License. She is a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International of Joplin and Central Christian Center. She is married to Steve Houk and they have one daughter, Amanda Eggleston and her husband Brandon. She is also a proud grandmother of three.

Jarel was born in Lamar, Missouri and has lived most of his life in this area. He graduated from Jasper High School in 1960 and attended Joplin Junior College and Southwest Baptist College. He was engaged in farming and business until 2003 when he entered the full time ministry as a pastor until his retirement in 2011. Jarel joined Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory in 2011. Jarel was an original member of "The Missourians" a Southern Gospel group and is now a member of "The Spring City Quartet". Jarel is married to Margaret Burnside and they have two children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jarel and Margaret attend Harmony Heights Baptist Church.
