Obituary for Shirley Jane Lovell

Shirley Jane Lovell, age 66, of Galena, Ks., passed away on Tuesday January 26, 2016, at her home, following an illness.
Shirley was born on December 16, 1949 in Guymon, Ok., the daughter of the late David and Flora Mae (Smith) Price. She married Ross Lovell on September 12, 1970 in Joplin, together they raised two daughters. She worked as a teachers aid for the Columbus USD # 493. She enjoyed planting flowers, and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Ross Lovell, Galena, Ks.; two daughters, Susan Carter and husband Kenny, Raymore, Mo. and LaRissa Boatright and husband Paul, Lexington, Ok.; one brother, Kemp Price, Bethany, Ok.; two sisters, Frances Crabtree, Guthrie, Ok. And Judy McKinney, Bethany, Ok.; and grandchildren, Kelsee Sigler and husband Ryan, Alexys Carter, Erin Rockford, Derick Boatright, Dillon Boatright, Brock and Emily Boatright, and Liam and Keegan Sigler.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Roger Brown and Scott Vorhees will officiate. Burial will be in Messer Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Steve Kleffman, Paul Boatright, Dillon Boatright, Kenny Carter, Greg Lovell, Drew Lovell, and Hunter McPherson.
The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to Avalon Hospice in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
