Frances Louise (Cossey) Morrison, age 95, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Monday May 22, 2023, at Westgate by Wildwood Skilled Nursing Facility with family by her side.

She was born July 11, 1927, in Duenweg, Missouri to Joe and Audrey (Kirk) Cossey.

Frances loved her family and helping others as well as being a housewife. She was a lifelong resident of the Joplin, Missouri area, having spent the past year at Westgate Skilled Nursing Facility.

She married Russell Morrison on June 27, 1945, in Columbus, Kansas and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2021. Also preceding her in death are her parents, and two sisters, Lavon Kline, and Donna Long.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rose, and husband Kevin, one grandson, Dylan Rose and wife Stevie, one brother, Joe Cossey Jr. and wife Patsy and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday May 30, 2023, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Ty Rose officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Westgate Skilled Nursing Facility and Three Rivers Hospice for their kindness and care of Frances for the past year.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
