Obituary for Wilson Pim

James “Wilson” Pim Jr., age 87, of Neosho, Mo., passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Freeman Hospital.

Wilson was born on November 22, 1935 in Scotland Community, East of Duenweg, Mo. the son of the late James Wilson Pim Sr. and Beulah Marie (Hawkins). He has been a lifetime area resident. He served in the Air Force for 9 years as an Airman 1st Class. Wilson worked as an auto technician for B.F. Goodrich, Montgomery Ward, Otasco, Roper Pontiac, R&S Chevrolet and Western Auto. He also worked for Parson’s Ammo Plant and Rocketdyne. Wilson worked as a Paramedic for METS Ambulance retiring in 1998 after 12 years of service. He was a member of the Duenweg Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years and also the V.F.W.

He married Barbara Marie Allen on November 8, 1959 in Joplin, and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2012. Additional survivors include, two sons, Michael Pim and Ramona of Neosho, Mo. and Phillip Estes and wife Lori of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Marcy Bell and husband Brad, Hendersonville, Tn.; close friend and companion, Sue Gilliam; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters Jakie Mae Newman and Patsy Louise Burton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Randy Pim will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
