Obituary for Keith Patterson
Keith Patterson, age 48 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 21st, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, KS.
He was born July 22, 1974, in El Paso, TX to Jerry and Billie (King) Patterson. Keith worked as a truck driver for over two decades. Keith is survived by three children, Rachel Patterson, David Patterson, and Jonathan Patterson; two brothers, Kevin (Lisa) Patterson and Kenneth Patterson; his parents, Billie and Jerry Patterson; several nieces and nephews; and three great nieces.
Keith graduated from Joplin High School in 1992 and from Missouri Southern State University with a B.A. in Computer Science in 2004. He got his Associates in 2003 from the same school, and was a part of the first graduating class after the school changed from College to University. He made a big deal out of this. Keith loved working with computers and enjoyed converting family memories from film to digital media. He was also a big fan of philosophy, and loved to talk about his views on religion, politics, and how to treat others. He had two rules: 1. Enjoy life, and 2. Help others to do the same. He did everything in his power to help others do the same. His kids will always remember his patience, silly songs, and extraordinary whistling skills.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
