Obituary for Debra L. "Debs" McGlashan
Debra “Debs” McGlashan departed this life on January 2nd, 2023, following a long-term battle against Cancer.
“Debs” McGlashan was born to Donald Billion and Linda K. (Albright) Billion in Kansas City, KS, July 11th, 1960.
While pursuing a college degree she was a National Honor Student and sang with the Wyndotte Madrigal Singers Group. In 2003, Debs married Patrick McGlashan in Garnett KS, where they operated a flea market for three years and then relocated to Joplin. Debs worked for a number of years with Verizon Wireless where she was loved by colleagues and customers alike for her caring and helpful ways. After leaving Verizon she and her husband owned and operated Etcetera fleamarket locally.
Debs is proceeded in death by her parents Donald and Linda K. (Albright) Billion.
She is survived by her husband; Patrick McGlashan, two brothers; Rob (Shelly) Billion (Osawatomie, KS) and Michael Billion (Kansas City, KS). Four sons; Jeremy Billion (Kansas City, KS), Jacob Wheeler (Leanordville, KS), Jeffrey Wheeler (Kansas City, KS), Jordan (Beth) Wheeler (Kansas). She was also survived by two stepchildren; one stepson Craig McGlashan (Scotland) and one stepdaughter; Laura McGlashan (Scotland). Additionally Debs is survived by a granddaughter Lila, a step granddaughter Pamela, and one great grandson Andrew.
