Obituary for Bonnie Kennon
Bonnie "Darlene" (Maggard) Kennon, 57 of La Russell, MO passed away in Joplin, MO on October 2, 2022. Darlene was born in Aurora, MO on December 20, 1964 to Anna (Boggs) and Edman Maggard. She attended Vatterott and earned a vocational degree in secretarial work.
On May 27, 1995, Darlene married Michael Kennon. She had three children from a previous marriage with Louis Nowell; Betty, Sheresa, and Wesley. Darlene was an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. She doted on her grandchildren and spent most of her time with them.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, her brother Mark, and her sister Sarah. She is survived by her mother Anna Maggard of La Russell, MO, her husband Michael Kennon of La Russell, MO, one son, Wesley Nowell and wife Myranda of Vermillion, SD, two daughters; Betty Hughey of Sarcoxie, MO and Sheresa Wendleton and husband Ronald of La Russell, MO, sixteen grandchildren; Grace Keeling, Jaykob McKinnis,Riley Hughey, Malachi McKinnis, Faithlyn Hughey, Charity Hughey, William Pennell Jr., Dannielle Wendleton, Xavier Wendleton, Gabriella Wendleton, Jasmine Wendleton, Sophia Wendleton, Harper Wendleton, Adrian Samson, Eva Samson, Lily Nowell, two great grandchildren; Khody Cornelius and Alyzah Cornelius, two brothers; Keith Maggard and wife Vera, and Paul Maggard, and one sister, Pamela Ruble and husband Rob.
Family held memorial services will be held at Grace Pointe Assembly of God, 1605 S Baker Blvd, Carthage, MO 64836 on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 10 am. Memorial donations may be made in Darlene’s name to Crosslines Ministries-Carthage.
