Allan Franklin Pruitt of Joplin passed away from this life on September 26th at
Medicalodges in Neosho. He was 75. Allan was born in Joplin on April 27th,
1947, to Glen and Arlene (Phillips) Pruitt.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years,
Linda (Fielding). They were married on September 6th,1973, in Miami,
Oklahoma. He also leaves behind many special relatives, friends, and his
beloved “Rosie”. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Phillip.
He graduated from Baxter Springs High School in 1965 and received his
Bachelor’s Degree from Pittsburg State University. Allan then received his Juris
Doctor from the University of Arkansas. He was an attorney for the State of
Arkansas for 32 years.
He and his wife Linda loved and owned racehorses after retiring and made
many friends with this hobby. Allan also enjoyed spending time with his “lunch
bunch” friends from Baxter Springs High School. Special thanks to Jim Baldwin
for always being there.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s
Association or to Horses of Hope.
Family held Celebration of Life will be Sunday October 30th at 2-5:00 p.m. at the Streetcar Station Coffee Shop, 515 S. Main Street, Galena, KS.
