Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Meistad , age 79, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:35
a.m. at Freeman Health Systems in Joplin, MO.

Kenny was born on January 17, 1943 in Sauk County, Wisconsin to Orville Meistad and
Marjorie Blair both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a step
son, David Green.

Kenny enjoyed playing bridge and Soky and reading. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs
baseball team and the Green Bay Packers football team.
Kenny was united in marriage to Helen Monson on October 16, 2010. She survives at the
home.

Additional survivors include one step son, Cory Pugh of Joplin and one step daughter Dannielle
Burdick (Tim) of rural Oronogo. Four grandchildren. Two sister in laws, Carolina Bond (Mark) of
Webb City, MO and Mary Ann Arnold of Joplin. One brother in law, Rick Monson (Gina) of
Webb City, MO.

There will be graveside services on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Ozark Cemetery with
Danny “Bo” Campbell officiating. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to
Golden Paw Pet Rescue in care of the funeral home.
