Paul Ernest Phillips was born May 11, 1926 and went to be with his Lord on September 13, 2022. Paul married Mary Christeena Hirshey on July 20, 1946.They spent 76 years together. Paul and Mary moved to Colorado shortly after their marriage and met a very strong Christian named Fred Frost. Mr. Frost was the type of person who always managed to bring Christ into the conversation in a soft way and began to talk to Paul about Christ. Paul talked to his older brother Luther about it one day. Luther looked at Paul and said "You know he's right." Paul chose to accept Christ shortly after that and has followed his Lord ever since.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.

Surviving are his wife Mary Christeena (Hirshey) Phillips, two Sons Tony Phillips and wife Beverly of Los Fresnos, Tx, Don Phillips and wife Tammy of Carthage, Mo., Two daughters Janet Phillips of Carthage, Mo., and Paula Phillips of Round Rock, Tx.

Also surviving are five grandchildren Andrew Phillips, Mark Phillips, Heather Phillips, Danielle Kessinger, Paul Phillips, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Stone Cemetery near Diamond, MO.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
