Obituary for Shelby Knight

Shelby Knight, age 30, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on September 10th, 2022. Shelby was born on February 11th, 1992, to Joseph and Ladonna Knight (Mooney) in Joplin, Missouri.

Shelby received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Pitt State University. She took a position as the Director of Resource Development for United Way Worldwide. She later left United Way and to follow in her Fathers footsteps and work for Liberty Utilities. While employed at Liberty Shelby held many roles. Including her present role of EHS Coordinator. While working at Liberty Shelby decided to go after her Master degree in Business Management and received that from John Brown University.

Shelby Knight is preceded in death by her Granny Della Green and her Grandmother Sharon Knight.

She is survived by four year old son Anakin Knight, one year old son Moxy Stinnett. Her father Joe Knight, mother LaDonna Knight, and sister Ashley Moss (husband Bryan Moss). Grandfather Jim Knight, grandparents Jim & Evelyn Mooney, niece Bailey Moss, nephew Aiden Moss, nephew Jaxon Whitman, and nephew Hudson Moss. Also her best friend Kylie Davis as well as numerous family members, cousins, and friends.

Shelby lived her life to the fullest. She brought joy to others on a daily basis. Shelby was beautiful, determined, caring, honest to a fault, and an incredible mother to two beautiful little boys. She will be forever missed and will hold a special place in all of our hearts. We thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Memorial services have scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Saturday September 17th at 6:30 PM at the Elks Lodge 1010 N Madison St Webb City MO 64870.
