Obituary for Joseph M. Stafford

Joseph “Bub” M. Stafford departed this life on July 28, 2022, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri following a courageous battle of a prolonged illness.

Bub was born to Randy and Joyce Manley on December 6, 1982, in Bryan, Texas.

At the age of nine Bub began learning how to work on Semis and autos from his dad. From that point on you could always find him and his brothers at their dad’s shop working. He made a career out of working on Semis even teaching his son the trade. When he wasn’t working you would likely find him coaching his daughter’s softball team or attending one of her games.

When someone needed help, Bub was always there whether it be family, friends or a complete stranger. You could always count on him, no matter the time, day or night.

He was a lifelong resident of the Joplin area. He married the love of his life on July 11, 2001.

Bub is survived by his wife Sabrina, his children Leland and LillieBelle. His parents Randy and Joyce Manley; sisters, Angie (Jason), Tina (Matt), Christie (Jim), Crystal (Joey); brothers, John, Matthew and Colton, nieces and nephews; Tosha (Dylan), Trynadi, Kylie, Kenzie, Libbie, Lane, Haven, Hollynd, Hudsen, Bre, Dalton, Dayton, Katie, Thomas, Lane, Tanner, Hawk, Caleb, Estelle and Walker; great nieces, Presleigh and Aria.

Bub was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joy and Marjorie Wolfe, paternal grandparents, William and Sandra Manley, three uncles, Jay Manley, Gary Wolfe and Billy Cocking.

Bub was an amazing dad to his kids, as well as an amazing, husband, son, brother and uncle.

He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Service will be 2:00pm Friday, August 5, 2022, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary Joplin, Missouri with Bill Manley officiating. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00pm Friday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Joseph Stafford Memorial fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
