Betty Darlene Rector was born August 16, 1948 in Carthage Missouri. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 14, 2022. She was survived by brothers and sisters Sue Eckert, of Versailles Missouri, Barb Ellezy, Sharon Vogt, of Carthage Missouri, Kathy Waltrip, of Carthage Missouri, Ruth Lucas, of Joplin Missouri, David Lucas of Joplin Missouri, and Larry Lucas of Joplin Missouri and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Alberta Grimes and her father Lee Lucas and brothers Albert Lucas, Terry Lucas, Jerry Lucas, Dale Lucas, & Bobby Joe Lucas. She was a lifelong resident of Carthage Missouri. She ran the Carthage airport for many years. She worked a Big Smith, she was also a certified nursing assistant at fair acres she later retired from Pillsbury in Joplin Missouri. Betty enjoyed sewing quilts and many other arts and crafts she loved baking and cooking. She was a very kind and loving person and will be missed by many.
