David Roughton of Joplin, MO passed away May 30, 2022.
David was born February 8, 1943 in Bentonville, Arkansas to John Roughton and Bertha Gibson.
David started for Joplin Fire Department on May 1, 1967, he became a driver February 1, 1976 and retired in 1992. David also was a school bus driver for Carl Junction High School.
David is preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha Roughton, his three brothers; Orville Roughton, Truman Roughton, Don Roughton and his sister, Juanita Roughton.
Survivors include son, David Thomas Jr. and three daughters; Melissa Roughton, Cherie Wallace, and Christina Bay, two step sons; Robert Robbins and Scott Robbins, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
