Robert “Dale” Randall
Robert Dale Randall formerly of Joplin, Missouri went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 2, 2022, after a prolonged illness of seven years. During this time, he and Carolyn moved to Arkansas to live and travel with his grandchildren. Though declining in health, he took care of his beloved wife, the late Carolyn Middleton Randall until her death and was able to be at her bedside when she passed. Late in life, he enjoyed many trips, cruises and travel to Cardinal’s games.
“Dale” to most all who knew him, was born March 26, 1935, in the Fidelity community to Milton and Velma Randall. He was graduated from Diamond High School in 1953. He served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant while stationed two years in Alaska. Following an Honorable Discharge, he returned to attend junior college in Miami, Oklahoma and completed his MBA from Drury College (now Drury University) and worked for Rocketdyne & Sabreliner Corp. in Neosho, Missouri in Human Resources as well as for B.F. Goodrich in Miami, Oklahoma.
Dale loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the Neosho Masonic Lodge #247 AF&AM, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and Shriners International. He had for years served as a Deacon at the Forest Park Baptist Church where he served two terms as Chairman of the Deacon’s Body. He and his wife enjoyed many years working with the AWANA’s.
Dale Randall was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carolyn Randall who he married July 19, 1961 at Forest Park Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother Keith Randall.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Edwards and her husband Ken Edwards of Greenwood, Arkansas, and by his Daughter Barbara Randall, his son Gary Randall and wife Judy Smithson Randall of Washburn, Missouri, son Doug Randall and his wife Tiffany Casteel Randall of Harrison, Nebraska; grandchildren Drew Allen, Lindsey Allen Cooper, Aleesa Randall, Robbie Randall, Christina Linderman, Robin Hawkins, Dana Sutherland, and Colton Randall; three great-grandchildren; Caleb Simmons, Briella Linderman and Zaylee Randall.
Funeral Service will be Monday May 9th at 1:00 pm at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with burial to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Missouri with special thanks to Randy Wilson.
