Obituary for Margary Ellen Robertson (Fieker)

Margary Ellen (Fieker) Robertson of Joplin, MO, age 85,was lifted up to be with her Lord and Savior while encircled by her family in prayer, on April 14, 2022. She was born in Sarcoxie, MO on January 12, 1937 to Lawrence and Bertha (Duncan) Fieker. She was a lifetime resident of the Joplin/Sarcoxie area. After 23 years of employment, Margary retired from Sears.

After graduating from Sarcoxie High School, Margary married the love of her life, Carl L. Robertson. They were wed on December 9, 1955 at Downey Church in Sarcoxie. Their marriage brought many adventures and three wonderful children, Janice, Robyn and Robbie.

Margary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Joplin. She was a God fearing woman, often sharing the word of God with others. The most important thing to her was that her family all came to know Jesus as their Savior. She will be fondly remembered for sending out birthday and Christmas cards to all the church members, as well as preparing and serving all the Church dinners.

She also loved her family and treasured them dearly. In her free time, she loved reading the Bible, cooking and baking for them, especially homemade pies. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, sewing, and crocheting doilies. She will also be remembered as a woman who truly faced her fears. Her whole life, she was terrified of water, and at age 50, she got a pool, and took swim lessons to be able to swim with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Robertson; daughters, Janice Nordstrom and husband Blaine; Robyn Mitchell and husband Randy; son, Robbie Robertson and wife Lee Ann; sister, Reba Law; grandchildren, Blake Nordstrom and wife Stormi; Jason Nordstrom and wife Morgan; Jeremy Mitchell and wife Nellie; Julie Hale and husband Danny; Sam Robertson and girlfriend, Dara Restivo; great-grandchildren, Emma Nordstrom; Brynn Nordstrom; Charlie Nordstrom; Eddie Nordstrom; Macie Hale and Emily Hale.
