Obituary for Donald Wimer

The life of Donald James Wimer, 54, of Joplin, MO. was cut too short on March 31, 2022. Don was born on February 3, 1968, to Daniel Wimer and Myra Jane (Sears) Wimer.

He graduated from Joplin High School in 1986, before attending classes at the University of Missouri. Donnie began working at ARC, American Ramp Company, in 2002. This year would have been his 20th anniversary at the company.

Donnie loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs and he enjoyed beating his family and friends in a game of pool.

Donnie is survived by his son, Dawsen James Wimer, his brother, Daniel Wimer, a sister, Jennifer Tatum, and sister-in-law, Cristy Wimer, all of Joplin. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Whitney Wimer, Natalie Wimer, Steven Tatum, and Lauren (Hight) Roush, with husband Chris. He leaves behind his partner Kristine Church. Both of his parents preceded him in death.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Don Wimer at one of his favorite places, OK Pool Hall and Billiards, 1516 S. Main St., Joplin, MO. on Wednesday, April 6th, starting at 4:30 p.m. Come and go as you please.

It’s a casual evening with friends, family, and co-workers. Let’s play pool, a game he loved, share our memories, and raise a glass to a fun loving man.

Wear Chiefs gear, if you have it, because you always saw Donnie representing his favorite team.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin.
