Gloria J. (Sarmiento) Coureton, 79, passed away on March 28, 2022 in St. Louis, MO after a 2 year long illness. Gloria was born in San Diego, CA on October 6, 1942. After graduating high school, Gloria worked at various electronic companies up and down the west coast. She helped manufacture electronic components that were used in the Space Shuttle program at NASA and on several Nuclear Submarines that are still in action today. She made her way to Alaska and then to Minnesota before settling in Joplin Missouri. She married A. Charles Coureton on February 9, 1990 and they shared over 32 years together before her passing. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend. Gloria had a big heart for animals and couldn't leave an animal that looked like it was in need alone. She enjoyed being with her friends, but the biggest joy she found was in her grandchildren and great grand babies, Gloria was crazy about them. She will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn, her loving husband, 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
