My father hired Darrel at TAMKO. That was the start of not only a working relationship, but a lifelong friendship. They thought the world of each other and were the two best crappie fisherman I have ever seen. Neither one of them would ever stop fishing. After Mary passed away Darrel told me more than once that Dad was the only person he really wanted to crappie fish with. I was lucky to go with them a few times. Serval of the guys from TAMKO would head to Truman Lake and Dad got and invite even after my father retired. Darrel always included him. He was so nice to my father. He often told me he loved my father and the Carder family thought the world of Darrel. I was fortunate to work with Darrel for a number years at TAMKO too and he was honest and open with me. I could trust what he told me and I had the greatest respect for Darrel.

Respectfully,
Mike Carder

Our families first words were that now Darrel is reunited with his favorite fishing buddy. He loved fishing with your father. I don’t know that he ever went fishing again after Mr Carder died. He loved his Tamko buddies. Heaven gained another good man. My father sincerely loved your family
