Obituary for Jody Anne Dexter (Loyd)
Jody Dexter, age 64 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Wednesday February 2, 2021 following a sudden illness.
She was born April 17, 1956 in Carthage, Missouri to Loren and Marjorie (Reeves) Loyd.
Jody worked as an Administrative Assistant for Prudential Insurance and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
She married Edward Dexter on August 20, 1977 in Orange County, California and he survives. Jody is also survived by two sons, Ryan Dexter and wife Ashley, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, David Dexter, Joplin, Missouri; two brothers, Alan Loyd, David Loyd; one sister, Lori Heeter and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Kyle Beverlin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the mortuary. The casket will be closed at all times.
