Stephen Nathanael Stockburger, 56, Dec 7, 1964 – Jan. 27, 2021 was called home to Heaven.

Our beloved brother, uncle and friend lost his battle to cancer. Born in Tucson, AZ a true desert rat!

Steve is preceded in in death by his parents Donald and Roseland Stockburger and is survived by his 11 siblings, 20 nieces/nephews, 27 great nieces/nephews.

Steve had many jobs and shared his talented hands with many different jobs, a few of his favorite were working for Four State Supply and Baja Spas.

Steve had compassion for others, a pleasant personality and found happiness in his daily activities, a great sense of humor and laugh. Steve spent many years living between Tucson, AZ and Joplin, Mo. In each place he made many close friends and they would share a few drinks and play music real loud. He loved to go camping, fishing, and hunting.

His favorite place to camp was on the back side of Mt. Lemmon in AZ. His ashes with be spread there by his family.

May he remain forever in our hearts.

Our family wants to support National Cancer Society for all of the care that they have given to Steve. Your gift will help continue the life-giving missions your loved one cared so much about.

Steve was a great friend to our whole family, especially my brother Greg. My mom and dad ( John and Lois Street) were always glad to see him when he stopped by to visit a while. He was always so nice and I never heard him say anything negative about anyone, at least in front of me.

I will always remember the time he helped me at my new house. My brother Greg and Steve were trying to get a large oak entertainment center up the back patio steps and into the house. I saw Steves knees buckle and he was almost laying on the stairs under the cabinet. I was so scared he would be hurt but he stood back up and him and Greg got it in the house. He would always do anything he could to help others.

I will really miss getting updates from my brother on how Steve was doing and how David and Steves whole family was doing.

I hope he finds my parents in heaven so he can stop by to visit with them again. My dad will enjoy retelling him the many hunting and fishing stories he has and my mom will be frying some fish for them. We will all miss you, Steve.

Sorry to hear about Steve . He was a long time true friend. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. He was so eager to learn to fish and hunt and he enjoyed going with me and dad because he learned so much from us and we were glad to teach him all we knew. RIP Steve and tell your mom I said hello and she is dearly missed as my parents are.
