Obituary for Janet Marlene "Gilliam" Wininger
Janet Marlene Wininger, age 71, of Joplin, Mo passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin.
Janet was born on August 2, 1949 in Joplin to the late Earl and Thelma (Laird) Gilliam. Janet was a lifetime area resident. On October 7, 1967, Janet was united in marriage to Jerry Wininger. To this union two children were born, Jason and Julie. Janet was the most caring and giving person. She cared for her parents and brother as their health declined. Janet was the most loving mother. She worked as an office assistant before retiring to be a grandmother. Janet will be missed by all who knew her.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Dennis Gilliam. She is survived by her husband Jerry Wininger of the home. Son, Jason Wininger and wife Natalea of Springfield, Mo., and Julie Spille of Tulsa, Ok., grandchildren, Ian Wininger and wife Britany, Jared Wininger, Gabrielle Wininger, Dylan Spille, Devin Spille, and Zoe Spille, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Jock Evans officiating. Family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
