Reverend Robert Louis Hendrix Sr., 89, of Grove, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at his home in Grove. He died of natural causes.

Reverend Hendrix was born July 5, 1931 in Ocean City, Maryland to Reverends Eschol and Mary Ruth Hendrix. He was married to Mary Lou Allen, May 14, 1950 at the Scotland Church of God, East of Duenweg, Missouri. They were happily married for over 70-years. Janice Carter

Dear Mary Lou, you may not remember me but I am Janice Rankin Carter formerly of Chanute, KS. Robert was my Pastor when I was 19 or 20. Bobby was a little boy at the time & Tammy was a young girl. I went to GBC in 1972 & I believe you followed me shortly after. I stayed for a year & a half. I remember both of you as being so sweet, caring & humorous. Remember the story about cooking 2 chickens for the 2 of you right after you were married? LOL! So many pleasant memories. Our son, Chad went to MACU with Bobby so he knows him. Small world, huh? I know it's a huge loss to lose such a wonderful man but we have to think about where he is & that he is seeing Jesus & rejoicing with Him. Someday we will see him again & spend eternity with him & all those who we have lost. Please know we are thinking of you & praying for you. Love & Prayers, Dwight & Janice Carter
