Obituary for Frankie Ledford
Frankie "Frank" Ledford, age 76, of Joplin, passed away at his home on November 23, 2020 surrounded by family.
Frankie, son of the late George and Vernie (Michael) Ledford, was born on July 18, 1944 in Anderson. On October 11, 1970 he was united in marriage to Mylinda Renfroe in Big Sandy, TX. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2013. He was the owner of Ledford Construction Company in Joplin which he started with his father in 1974 until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sports activities, loved to travel in his RV, and operate his backhoe. Frank was an avid collector of collectables. If he collected something, he knew everything there was to know about what he collected.
Survivors include three sons, James Ledford, and his wife, Susan, of Joplin, Lance Ledford, and his wife, Jacque, of Joplin, and Travis Ledford, and his wife, Jalyn, of Joplin; one daughter, Frankie Weibel, and her husband, Ben, of Joplin; one brother, George Ledford, and his wife, Shirley; one son-in-law, David Clevenger, of Joplin; grandchildren, Clay Connett, Brayden Connett, Myleah Clevenger, Chelsea Clevenger, Brieonah Weibel, Audrie Weibel, Tyler Ledford, Camryn Ledford, Tru Ledford, Presley Ledford, Fletcher Ledford, Briar Ledford, Chipper Ledford, Beckett Ledford, Hosmer Ledford, Otto Ledford, Payton Ledford, Holden Ledford, Bailey Ledford, and Hudson Ledford; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Ledford, Elise Bottoroff, and Levi Bottoroff. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenna Ledford and one granddaughter, Nellie Mae Ledford.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at One Church in Joplin with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm till 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 29th at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
