Vera Lea Hansford, age 82, formerly of Diamond, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Granby House in Granby, MO.

Vera, the daughter of the late Clyde and Alma (Gilbreath) Giger, was born on October 8, 1938 in Sarcoxie, MO. After graduating from Sarcoxie High School, she then attended cosmetology school. On January 15, 1959 in Miami, OK she was united in marriage to Russell Hansford, who preceded her in death on July 1, 2016. She was an avid and talented painter and enjoyed playing Bunko with her friends. She was employed at Ozarkland for 25 years where she enjoyed working with people and helping customers.

Survivors include one son, Troy Hansford, of Newtonia; one daughter, Erin Boursheski, and her husband, Kent, of Pierce City; two grandsons, Adam Boursheski and Drew Boursheski, both of St. Louis; one granddaughter, Sara Boursheski, of Pierce City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Fayanell Burris, Ruth Kenney, Ruby Ralston, Loren Giger, and Carol Goen.
