Obituary for Betty Jean Hoffman (Short)
Betty Jean Hoffman, age 94 , Neosho, Missouri formerly of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Saturday October 24, 2020.
She was born February 7, 1926 in Joplin, Missouri to Earl and Elise (Gilmore) Short.
Betty graduated from Alba High School. She worked at JC Penny and retired from Joplin R-VII School District.
She married Joe Hoffman on October 2, 1971 and he preceded her in death. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Otto Short and Junior Short; one sister, Margie McDonald and one great grandchild.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Patty Lester and husband Don, Vickie Jackson and husband Larry; one son Tim Henderson and wife Janice, five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday October 30, 2020 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Burial will follow at Purcell Friends Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the mortuary.
