Obituary for Rhonda L. Endicott (Hayes)
Rhonda Lynn Endicott, age 53, of Joplin, passed from this life on Tuesday September 15, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, following a courageous, four-year battle with colon cancer.
Rhonda was born on July 23, 1967 in Joplin, the daughter of Norman and Mary (Taylor) Hayes. She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1985. She married David Endicott on June 11, 1994 and together they were blessed with four sons. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family. David and Rhonda owned and operated NeoTech Solutions, Inc., where she worked as the Office Manager. Prior to that she was a hairdresser and owned and operated Headliners Beauty Salon.
She is survived by her husband David Endicott, Joplin; four sons, Taylor Endicott and wife Aubrey, Joplin, Lawson Endicott, Hunter Endicott, and Hayden Endicott, all of the home; two grandsons, Lincoln Endicott and Sterling Endicott; her father Norman Hayes, Galena, KS; her brother, Randall Hayes and wife Beverly, Galena, KS; her mother-in-law Elzada Endicott, Joplin; sister- in-laws, Sherry Pennington and husband Scott, Joplin, and Vicky Wilkins and husband Lee, Oronogo, MO; brother-in-law, Bill Endicott and wife Jill, Oronogo, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Hayes.
She fought her cancer with amazing resilience and resolve. Her determination to aggressively fight this disease through multiple surgeries, many weeks of chemotherapy, multiple drug trials, radiation treatments and innumerable other procedures has been an inspiration to anyone that knew her. Her participation in three different experimental drug trials not only provided options for her care but also helped push cancer research forward to help untold numbers of other people struggling with this terrible disease. She battled her disease the way she fought for her family, on her terms and with an unstoppable determination.
