Obituary for Ronald E. Lester
Ronald Lester age 77 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Friday August 28, 2020 at his home following a decline in health.
He was born August 12, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri.
Ronald served his country in the United States Navy. After his service to his country he worked as a Firefighter for Joplin, Missouri and then was a steel cutter for Cardinal Scale Manufacturing. He was a member of Villa Heights Christian Church.
He married Billie Jean Kennedy on May 29, 1999 and she survives. Ronald is also survived by one brother Donald Lester and wife Patty; seven grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; one adopted son Jason Lester; two stepsons, Brian and Keith Kershaw and one stepdaughter, Rhonda Kershaw-Carver.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday September 2, 2020 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary chapel with Ernie Friend officiating. Burial will follow at the Fidelity Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:00 pm Tuesday at the mortuary.
The family request that all who attend to wear masks and practice social distance.
