The Lord took his angel home on Thursday July 23, 2020. Jeffrey “Bub” Scott Murray was born March 2, 1970 in Baxter Springs, Ks to Johnny and Brenda (McDunner) Murray. He attended College View State School. Jeff was a member of South Joplin Christian Church, and Quapaw Nation. Jeff was a friendly, loving person that made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed the casinos, eating out, and visiting his neighbors.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Brenda, one brother James L. Murray (Rachel), nieces Krista (Chris) Haskins and Lindsey (Griff) Schramm, two nephews Cooper and Camdyn Haskins, a special cousin Amy Kelly, Uncle Bob McDunner of Kansas City, MO., Aunt Becky Francisco of Joplin, Mo., numerous cousins and many special friends. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Jeff was preceded in death by grandparents Fred and Imogene McDunner, John and Ruby Murray, and great grandmother Thelma Whitehead.

A special thanks to Dr. Ali for years of excellent care and Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care of Jeff.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday July 27, 2020 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be given to the Alzheimer’s Association of Missouri in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory, Joplin Mo.
