Obituary for Margaret O. Foster
Margaret O. Foster, age 88, of Joplin, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin.
Mrs. Foster, daughter of the late Odis and Opal (Sanders) Newdigger, was born on May 21, 1932 in Spurgeon, MO. On March 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Cleo Foster. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Foster of Sarcoxie; one daughter, Linda Reynolds, of Joplin; one brother, Perry Newdigger, of Joplin; four sisters, June Roland, of Webb City, Betty Bloyd, of Joplin, Charlette Comer, of Joplin, and Joann Bryant, of Joplin; three grandsons; one granddaughter; seven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at Ozark Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the mortuary on Wednesday, July 22nd. For protection of family and friends, the family requests everyone wear masks and maintain a physical distance of at least 6ft, and share stories instead of hugs, kisses and handshakes.
