All of Heaven rejoiced as the Lord welcomed Marjorie H. Davidson into eternal glory on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 99 years of age. Born on January 31,1920, Larimore, ND to Harry and Merle Smith, she was the third oldest of 13 children. Marjorie grew up in Larimore and graduated from high school in 1938.

On June 4,1941 Marjorie was united in marriage to Woodrow Davidson. Following their marriage, they made their home in Larimore, where they established Davidson Gravel Supply. Marjorie worked alongside her husband in their business for 35 years until he passed away. Marjorie was a prayer warrior and a woman of great faith. Marjorie was a long time active member of the Church of the Nazarene serving on the church board, teaching Sunday School, missionary president and church organist for 20 years. Her love of music was evident in the songs she wrote and the harmony she sang with various groups. Marjorie was an avid reader especially enjoying books about North Dakota and the prairie years. She loved to cook and her creative cooking skills delighted family and friends. In 2010 Marjorie made a major move leaving her hometown in North Dakota and moving to Joplin, MO to live with her daughter Tavia. This was a wonderful time of new adventures and new friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Merle Smith, husband Woodrow Davidson, sisters: Mildred Gustin, Marion Aaker, Lois Bateman, Lavern (Bun) Solum, Elrae Beauford, JoAnn Frost, and Janice Jones and brothers: Reverend Wayne Smith, Lyndell Smith, and Clayton Smith. She is survived by her sisters: Mavis Wold of Forest Lake, MN and Maxine Barry of Larimore ND, daughters: Jean Johnson and husband Lyle of San Antonio, TX, Tavia Swank of Joplin, MO, three grandchildren Wendy Reeves of Houston, TX, Dr. Jamie Odem and husband Zack of Springfield, MO, and Christy Milton and husband Keith of Durban, South Africa, and two great-grandchildren Eli Odem and Caisa Milton.

We, the family of Marjorie Davidson, sincerely thank you for your many acts of kindness evidenced in thought and deed.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will follow at a later date in Larimore, ND. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
