I'm so sorry for your loss, but feel joy for the fact that Virginia is with God and with Gene now. I went to church with them in Ozark when I was a girl and they were both very special to me. I remember just going to their house after school as a teen periodically just to visit. Virginia and I have stayed in touch by Christmas cards all these years. God bless you with comfort. Aunt Ginny was a very talented and hard working lady! She was an excellent seamstress, cook, homemaker, and Aunt. She made several dresses for me when I was little. She loved babies and kids and I have so many wonderful memories of her at the holidays and during the summer. All of the kids growing up in this family were very fortunate because there was so much laughter and love at our family get togethers. I remember my Mom talking about how much she learned from and looked up to Ginny as she was growing up.

We didn't live close to the Joplin/Miami area, but when we visited it was so exciting driving to Grandma's house, seeing the Chat Pile and going around the bend to their house. Aunt Ginny lived next door to Grandma's so she was always there to welcome us and everyone worked so hard to make our family get togethers so special! Aunt Ginny was always there when we left to go back home and I remember my Mom, Grandma, Aunt Ginny, and Aunt Lois crying when we left. This kind of love is such a gift to experience and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this family. Aunt Ginny was a very thoughtful person--over the years she would remember me by sending a card and calling me on my birthday and as an adult I enjoyed our continued relationship.

What made this family so special was the love and interest they took in the kids. They wanted us to have fun, they were great listeners, and wonderful examples in life. All I can say is this world needs more people like Aunt Ginny!

I will miss you Aunt Ginny!

My Aunt Ginny was the sweetest woman ever and I know what an example of strength she was to my Mother her youngest sister Rose. I will miss her dearly as he was so much a reminder to me of my Grandma Jones...what a great family to be a part of and love and enjoy. Love to all of the clan, Victor and Teresa York.
