Betty Neal went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. She was born on December 12, 1923 in Dodge, Ok. She lived in Southwest City, Mo., most of her life, moving to Bella Vista, Ar., in 1979, and then to Joplin in 1997.

She was a loving wife to Ray Neal. He preceded her in death in 1986, as did her son, Rick Neal, who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Whelan and husband Tim of Joplin and Sherry Glenn and husband Jim of Springdale, Ar., and a daughter-in-law, Judy Neal Priddy, of Joplin. She has nine grandchildren; Erica Hayes and Julie Brown, of Louisville, Ky., Dustin White, of Jacksonville, Fl., Jason White, of Dallas, Tx., Brooke LaPosta and Abby Clevenger, both of Joplin, Brian Glenn, of Fayetteville, Ar., Jamon Glenn and Cicely Drummond, of Springdale, Ar. She had 30 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a proud grandmother. The family would like to express their gratitude to Oak Pointe in Carthage and Hospice Compassus for their excellent care.
Private Graveside services will be Monday, November 25, 2019 at Southwest City Cemetery.
Visitation with be 3-4 on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Mason – Woodard Chapel.
