Obituary for Dorothy Anderson
Dorothy Mae Anderson went home to be with her Lord on Friday August 2, 2019 at Mercy Hospital.
Dorothy was born August 24, 1925 in Berryville Arkansas to Onnie and Grace (Griggs) Nunley.
Dorothy married Martin Junior Anderson in 1943 and had 46 happily married years. Together they built their home in the Duquesne area.
Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and baking cookies. She loved to share her faith in Jesus with others.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Junior Anderson, her son, Martin Gary Anderson, her daughter, Carolyn Sue Streff, brothers Raymond Nunley, Bill Nunley, and sisters Ruth Broady, Myrtle Bond, and Marie Miracle.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Thelma Anderson of Joplin, Mo, son-in-law Paul Stereff of Pasadena, TX., grandchildren Anthony Stereff and his wife Kathy, Susan Troullier and her husband Leonard all of TX., Sarah Hill of Joplin, MO., great grandchildren, Bradley and Benjamin Stereff, Breena and Alvin Jr Finnels of TX., Carter and Gavin Hill of Joplin. Sister Virginia Penry of Meriden, KS., and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday August 5, 2019 in the Chapel at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 Sunday August4, 2019 in the Chapel at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Empire Baptist Church in care of the mortuary.
