Obituary for Mildred Grace Jones (Jones)
Mildred Grace Jones, age 90 of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at her home following an illness.
Mildred was born on March 29, 1929 in Joplin, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Robinson) Jones. She has been a lifetime area resident. Mildred worked for many years as a clothing manufacturer for Big Smith and Miller Manufacturing before retiring in 1992. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Frank and Harold Jones, two sisters, Dorthy Jones and Bessie Marie Baldwin, her niece, Lorretta Capps, and her nephew, Gary Baldwin.
Survivors include her great-nieces and nephews, Menila Prince, Rebecca Capps, both of Joplin, Carrie Shelton and her significant other Mark Hessler of Oak Harbor, Wa., Tracy Capps of Tacoma, Wa., Chuck Capps and wife Vera of Erzhausen, Germany, Seth Baldwin of Springfield, Mo., Kristopher and Jonathan Baldwin, both of Arkansas, and many great-great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
