Obituary for Murrell L. Bass Sr.
Murrell L. Bass, Sr., age 83, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home in Joplin. Mr. Bass, son of the late Charles and Laurinda (Johnson) Bass was born on March 14, 1936 in Joplin, Mo.
He was the owner and operator of Quality Upholstery on Broadway in Joplin and then he worked for Able Body for several years. He enjoyed working and restoring old cars. He belonged to the Ozark Studebaker Club and traveled to many car shows. He loved hunting all over the US and Canada.
He married Dorothy Euritt on November 22, 1956 in Joplin, Mo. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2010. He was also preceded in death by a son Charles Bass; a daughter, Tammara Bass; and four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include; his son Murrell Bass Jr. of Joplin; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
