David was a Joplin native and co/founder of Glory Days Music for twenty-three years. He was born on September 9, 1964 in Independence, MO. His love for music started at a young age. He was a brilliant musician and vocalist, guitarist (rock, blues, slide, country), fiddler, pianist, keyboardist, singer, and songwriter. He cut his teeth as a musician on classic rock bands. He performed with his brothers and sisters as The Peterson Siblings at the Route 66 Music Theatre in Webb City, MO. He was an integral member of many other iterations of bands with family and friends across the county. He was a proud local business man that supported other local businesses. Additionally, he was a carpenter, planner, dreamer and so much more. There are so many awesome aspects of Davey’s life you could write a book on each one of them. He was a loving Christian man who was an awesome son, husband, father, brother and friend sharing rich and fun memories with many. Davey was always there with a smile to remind you that he loved you and was proud of you. He was a lover of nature and animals, starting his day with a warm cup of coffee on a brisk morning and a dog ready to be walked. He loved to grill for the family and holiday events, and it is often said there is a photo of him of all ages in front of a grill. Most importantly he loved everyone and was loved by everyone. He was very much in love with life. He left this world in peace - a happy man. He will be greatly missed, remaining in our hearts forever.
