Obituary for Charles W Carlisle
Charles W. Carlisle, age 73, passed away on March 7, 2019 at Joplin Gardens after a short illness.
Charles was born on March 2, 1946 in Rogers, Ar., the son of the late William Harvey Carlisle and Mattie Leora Parker Carlisle. He has lived most of his life in and around Joplin and Diamond. Charles retired from ICI powder Explosives Company of Joplin after thirty-three years. In May of 1965 Charles married Patsy Throop and to this union they had two children.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Charles “Chuck” Carlisle II; one sister, Dorothy Jean Kaulbach; and two brothers, William “Bill” Carlisle and James “Jim” Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Carlisle, Diamond, Mo.; his daughter, Melissa Williams and husband Brent, Diamond, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Carlisle Ring and husband Tracy, St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jesi Williams, Port Angeles, Wash., Jake Williams, Diamond, Mo., Gretchen Carlisle, St. Louis, Mo., Alexander Carlisle and wife Heather, Searcy, Ar.; Sara Beth Ring and Colby Ring, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Donna Patton and husband Tom, Blue Springs, Mo.; three brothers, Jerry Carlisle and wife Judy, Snohomish, Wash., Larry Carlisle and wife Sharon, Diamond, Mo. and Keith Carlisle and wife Eva, Fernley Nevada; and sister-in-law, Peggy Carlisle, Joplin, Mo.
