Obituary

Janice Warman
9/13/43 to 2/18/19
Janice Warman was diagnosed with cancer in July 2018. She passed away in her home surrounded by her husband, daughter-in-law, son and two sisters February 18, 2019 at 10:40 PM.

Janice was born in Orange county California. She moved to Joplin MO with her family in 1945 and then to Scotland Missouri near Duenweg. She graduated from Scotland elementary school and Buena Park High School. She married Michael Warman November 9, 1963 and had one son, Bryan Warman.

Janice began working at Eagle Pitcher Industries in 1966. She was among the first women to work in the factory. She started in the PS201 department building helicopter ejection seat batteries and moved on to working in the Apallo Space Department, Silver Zinc, X-Ray and R&I. She retired in 2000. She continued to be close friends with her co-workers until she passed.

Janice loved and cherished her family and friends and spending time with them brought her the most joy and happiness. She enjoyed opening her home to others for a meal, games or just a visit. She had a kind, loving heart that shined through to all. Her neighbors became her friends and they all helped each other any time they could. She also enjoyed traveling and in her younger years camping at the lake.

Janice was proceeded in death by her father Orvil Trettin, mother Irene Butler-Trettin, brother Charles (Sonny) Trettin as well as important influences Shorty and Helen Baker (Scotland, MO). She is survived by her husband Michael Warman (of Joplin, MO), son Bryan Warman, daughter-in-law Beth Warman (both of Webb City, MO), sister Carolyn Warrington and her husband Gail Warrington (both of Uba, CA), sister Shirley King and her husband Lloyd King (both of Carthage, MO.) as well as her nieces and nephews.

Graveside Committal of Ashes will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 22, 2019 at the Stone Cemetery near Diamond. Charlie King minister will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
