Obituary for Billie "Jo" Joan Scott
Billie Joan “Jo” Scott, age 76 of Duenweg, Mo. passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 in Joplin, Mo.
Jo was born on February 14, 1942, in Webb City, Mo., the daughter of Roberta (Patterson) Tingle. She has been a lifetime Duenweg area resident, graduating from Duenweg High School and living in the same home for over 50 years. Jo worked in accounting and purchasing at Flex-O-Lators for many years before retiring in 2004, she later worked at Lowe’s for 8 years.
She was married to Thomas Buford and later married Richard Scott, both preceded her in death. Jo was also preceded in death by her mother and her step-father, Frank Tingle. Survivors include, her daughter; Debra Gann and husband B.J. of Pryor, Ok., her son; Thomas Buford III and wife Beth of Neosho, Mo., a step-daughter; Brandy Jones and husband Dustin of Little Rock, Ar., a sister; Dixie Kinney of Joplin, six grandchildren; Paul Duggar, Sarah Buford, Matthew Gann, Samantha Gann, Lydia Beaver and Max Stults.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
