Obituary for Greg Mooneyham
Gregory Dan "Greg" Mooneyham, age 46 of Wildwood, MO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Missouri Baptist Hospital following complications from surgery.
Greg, the son of Judy and Jerry Mooneyham was born on December 15, 1971, in St. Louis County, MO. He attended schools in Eureka, MO and graduated in 1990 from Lafayette High School where he played multiple musical instruments in the marching band.
His desire to relieve the suffering of others was realized in his becoming a Board Certified Emergency Medical Technician.
During his early years, Greg could often be found skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Hidden Valley Ski Resort located opposite his home near Rockwood Reservation
.
He later brightened many people's lives while volunteering at Wildwood YMCA, forming friendships he treasured.
Greg's gentle soul was recognized by all, and especially by children and animals. He was the consummate uncle to his four nephews, Matthew and Danny Michaelree, and Parker and Connor Rossier. He also served as an honorary uncle to the children of his cousins, friends, and neighbors.
He held an abiding love for animals and would have rescued all of the dogs from shelters if it were humanly possible.His kind heart, sense of humor and sincere expressions of love will be missed by all who knew him.
