Message to the Family: Have many memories of Van. Years ago in the mid 80's, we played volleyball at the Joplin Family Y in the noontime business mans time of good exercise. But more recent, we sang together in Frisco Church choirs for several years and also in the Choral Society at MSSU. Van had one great high voice full of quality and he was fun to be around and always a delight to see. He would change the atmosphere of a room to happy upon his entrance. Van will be greatly missed in the Joplin area. To live in the hearts and lives we leave behind is not to die. May all of those who knew and loved Van, be blessed and be comforted with peace and love. If we could only see Van now in the arms of Jesus. He has good eyes now and a new body. Everybody will be happy over there Van always sang and now he is experiencing it face to face. Thank you Van for your faithfulness to God and your example. Much love and peace and comfort!
