Obituary for Kristine K. McCulley

Joplin, Mo. Kristine K. McCulley, age 58, of Joplin, MO passed away at 6:26 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Joplin. Kristine was born April 3, 1959 in Seoul, Korea. She was a graduate of Mid America Nazarene University, attended Missouri Southern State University, and graduated with both her Master’s and Specialist’s Degrees from Missouri State University. Kristine taught music for 10 years with the Carl Junction School District. She served as a Principal with the Galena, KS School District. She then came to the Webb City School District where she served as Principal of Carterville Elementary School. Following her retirement, she was an Administrator with the Early Childhood and Special Education School in the Carthage School District. She also served as coordinator of the Newspaper in Education program for the Joplin Globe since 2014. Kristine and her husband David are the owners of Liberty Tax Service in Webb City and had managed other Liberty offices in Southwest MO. She served on the Executive Board of Webb City Cares and on the Board of Pro Musica in Joplin. Kristine was a member of Christ’s Church of Oronogo.

Kristine married David McCulley on July 29, 1993, in Joplin and he survives her. Additional survivors include a son, Spencer McCulley, Joplin, her parents, C.C. and Bethel Reisdorph, Colorado Springs, CO, four brothers, Steve Reisdorph (Golda), Colorado Springs, CO., Bruce Reisdorph (Shirley), Merced CA., Kent Reisdorph (Jennifer), Las Vegas, NV., and Rick Reisdorph (Nichole), Parker, CO; two sisters, Georgia Burleson, Denver, CO and Kara Ganje (Robb), Eagle Butte, SD, and many nieces and nephews. She is also mourned by her in-laws, Carl and Rosemary McCulley, Joplin, and Carol and Jean Griffin, Joplin, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, DeAnn and David Kolkmeyer, Joplin, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Brenda McCulley, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, as well as their children. Kristine was loved and will be missed by too many friends to count.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, at Christ’s Church of Oronogo with Mark Christian and Lynn Ragsdale, Ministers, officiating. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Webb City Cares Program in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
