Obituary for Mary Allen Alexander (Wright)
Mary was born on December 11, 1948 in Thomasville, Ga., the daughter of Lamar and Norma (Allen) Wright. She worked for many years as a supervisor for the State of Florida’s Highway Safety Department before retiring in 1992. She was a devout Baptist.
She married William Alexander on March 28, 1980, he preceded her in death in 2002. Mary is survived by her daughter; Jessica Alexander of Joplin, a son; Jeremiah Alexander of Cairo, Ga., two brothers; Danny Allen of Tallahassee, Fl., Mark Pouncey of Atlanta, Ga., one sister; Christie Pond of Jacksonville, Fl., and two granddaughters; Britysh and Bailey.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
