Seneca, Mo. Alan E. Langel, age 58, of Seneca, Mo. passed away at 4:25 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. Alan was born August 25, 1959 in Spirit Lake, Iowa and had lived in Seneca the last 20 years. He was employed in the Maintenance Dept. of Mercy Village for 15 years.

Survivors include a son Kelcey Langel, Joplin, and daughter, Karissa Eaton and husband Eric, Purcell, Mo., his Mother, Joan Langel, Milford, Iowa,, two sisters, Nancy Kerr, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Barbara Langel, Urbandale, Iowa, two brothers, Kelly Langel, Belvidere, Illinois., and Rodney Langel, Urbandale, Iowa., and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, Earl Langel, and a brother, Martin Langel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Justin Monaghan as Celebrant. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
