Linda( Ebert) Lamb
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” This scripture will always remind me of Leonard. I have known him since I was born. Growing up, he was ”Uncle Len” to us and always will be. Leonard and my father were best friends for life. Being only children and living next door to each other, they were more like brothers and even argued like brothers. I am still not sure who really owned those lead soldiers that they played with as children.
Uncle Len loves the Lord with such fervor that anyone who met him on his journey on earth had no doubt where he stood. I shared his love for music and we would always spend time singing on the piano bench together whenever he visited. He loved my children with that same caring he gave to me and my siblings and he rejoiced when each came to accept Christ as their personal Savior.
What a joyous day in heaven it is with Uncle Len finally home. The celebration is bigger than any we could throw here. I know he and my Dad and Mom had a big group hug and the reunions are continuing there as we say “See you later” to him here. I have no doubt that Len is sitting next to Jesus on that heavenly piano bench, now a part of the most incredible music ever produced.
Thank you, Lord, for bringing him into our lives to remind us of YOU. He fought the good fight, he finished the race. Uncle Len is home.
