In 1958 she married Loyd W. Jones. They lived for a short time in Brookfield, MO, Topeka and Atchison, KS. They had two children, Steve and Melody.
In her working years she worked as a secretary. Many of those years for the Missouri Department of Transportation in the bridge division.
Donna loved to volunteer and did so all her life as a teacher's aide, librarian's aide, and reading books to elementary classes when her children were young. Most recently she volunteered for the Joplin Service Club of the Blind.
Her love of reading lead her to attend Emporia State University Library Science studies. While there ,she met Rod Webster and they married March 7, 1986. They were happily married for 23 years until his death in 2010. She considered Rod's daughter, Donna, as her own.

In her lifetime she was able to visit or live in more than 18 states and travel to different countries such as Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and the Bahamas. In February 2017 she and her daughter-in-law Laura went to the Dominican Republic.
