Dylan Edmund Paugh, age 17, of Joplin, passed away on Monday June 19, 2017, at his home. Dylan was born on April 18, 2000 in Joplin; the son of Jud and Lisa (Hiatt) Paugh. He was to be a senior at Joplin High School.
In Dylan’s earlier years he participated in Boy Scouts at St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church and he loved trains. He was also in the gifted program while in elementary and middle school. Dylan worked part-time at Military Collectibles in Webb City, Mo. His hobbies included air soft, playing the guitar and trumpet, he loved music. He enjoyed history and WWII re-enactments. He was accomplished at computer restoring and building and was certified in Linux. He was a very good German language student and was planning on being a student assistant for Mrs. Movick’s German class this year.
Dylan is survived by his parents Jud and Lisa Paugh, Joplin; one sister, Megan Paugh, of the home; paternal grandparents, Willis and Marilyn Paugh, Carthage, Mo., and Sarah Jones, Joplin; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Marvin Olesen, Joplin; and paternal great-grandfather, Jud Paugh, Carthage, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Leslie Hamlet and husband Sean, Joplin, and Amy Thomas, Bentonville, Ar., and Nathan Thomas, Webb City, Mo.; and cousins, Skylar and Noah Hamlet, and Sam Thomas.
A Graveside Committal will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Faskin Cemetery in Carthage, Mo. Orville Nelson, Jr. will officiate.
Directions to Faskin Cemetery: Take Central Ave. through Carthage to North River Street, turn left to 96 Highway turn right on 96 and go approx. 3 miles to County Road 100, turn left on CR 100 and go approx. 2 miles to Locust Road turn right on Locust and go approx. 1/2 mile to cemetery on the right.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
