Obituary for Fern J. Jackson (Potts)
Fern was employed at Newman’s Department Store as a sales associate, where she retired. She was a proud and devoted member of Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ, Galena, KS and thoroughly loved and enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.
She and Theodore Gerald Jackson were united in marriage on September 11, 1937 and celebrated 72 years of marriage. To their union were born four children, Theodore W. Jackson, Gerald L. Jackson, Donald F. Jackson and Janis L. Jones. Survivors include her son Theodore W. of Denver, CO, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son's Donny and Jerry, and by her daughter Janis Lee.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
